Roane County 4-H Market Hogs Available in Loudon, Tennessee For Sale

Please support your local 4-H programs. The Roane County Market Hog 4-H club is selling hogs. The hogs are available as a whole or 1/2 at $2.25/lb live weight (the hogs will weigh on average between 220-270lbs). The kill date is Jan 22. The hogs will be dropped off on the way home from the State Hog Show. Hogs will be weighed by the processor with the buyer paying the 4-Her for the hog and Wyatt's Custom Slaughter of Crossville for the processing. Their fees are $0.38/lb hanging weight, $0.40/lb for sausage. They do offer curing at $14 flat rate for bacon and jowls and $30 flat rate for hams, bacon, and jowls. All meat is vacuum packed with sausage available in a tube or patties. Patties are an additional $3/10 lb tube and the kill fee is $25. The kids will offer a central pick-up point for buyers to receive their processed meat in Kingston.
